HYRUM STATE PARK

Reservoir-

Recent rain, warmer temperatures, and flooding in Cache Valley have caused ice around the edge of Hyrum Reservoir to melt. The main ice sheet is still stable at about 7 to 10 inches thick. Colder temperatures have begun to re-freeze the edges. Access to the ice sheet is more difficult, but possible. Use caution when accessing the ice. Fishing has slowed due to muddy runoff, but is expected to get better as temperatures drop and the water clears. Always use extreme caution as hazardous ice conditions exist. All snowmobiles and atv's used on the ice must access the ice from the boat ramp, and be currently registered. Remember helmets are required under for those under 18 years old.

Campground-
Try winter camping more comfortably with one of our 9 campsites with power and water hookups, or in one of our 2 climate controlled cabins that sleep up to 8 people. The vault toilet in the boat parking lot will remain open all winter. We are now at reduced winter camping rates.
