    Location: Antelope Island State Park  Join the Park Naturalist in the visitor center from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for a short discussion on owls, followed by a field excursion to look for these nocturnal predators of the sky. Space is limited; please reserve your spot early. This activity is a ROCKIN’ Antelope Island event which is part of a statewide program, ‘Reaching Out Connecting Kids in Nature’.     Location: Antelope Island State ParkCome and join us for a fun filled experience learning about how Antelope Island’s Native peoples gathered food at 1:00pm at the historic Fielding Garr Ranch on Antelope Island State Park.     Location: Antelope Island State ParkJoin park staff at 1 pm on a 3-hour round trip kayak tour on Great Salt Lake to look at and learn about the forces that created Antelope Island. View the island from a unique perspective as we paddle around areas of the north end. Bring your own kayak or rent one from Gonzo Boat Rentals and Tours.     Location: Antelope Island State Park  Come and join us at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for guided tours with the curator at the Fielding Garr Ranch. See the entire ranch site from the original ranch house, shearing barns and corrals. For more information call (801) 649-5742.

    Location: Antelope Island State Park  Join members of the Ogden Astronomical Society in White Rock Bay as they set up telescopes for deep space viewing. Learn about globular clusters, nebulae, galaxies and more. Beginning at 7:30 pm solar scopes will be set  up for viewing the sun.. Sunset is at 8:40 pm. Entrance fees apply.     Location: Antelope Island State Park  One of the most magical sights is watching the sunset followed by a rising full moon. Join the Park Naturalist at 8 pm at the Buffalo Point Parking Overlook for a ½ mile hike to the top of Buffalo Point to watch the sunset and the moon rise. We will discuss aspects of both the sun and the moon as we witness these breathtaking sights. Fine mesh head nets are recommended for this hike. Entrance fees apply.     Location: Antelope Island State ParkEvery weekend through the summer, park interpreters will be out in the park expounding on the wonders of this amazing place through enlightening hands-on activities.
